The Ice Breaker

 Playing with an all female band has been the most unusual thing that happened for me as a music scholar and performer. The response from the audience is one to remember for
life.  I recall performing with Yeka Onka, the very first winner of the Nigeria Idol.
She got the girls' band a performing contract at Rhapsody, Ikeja,  Shopping Mall. Several other performances were carried out successfully. We would make mistakes, and sometimes play out of tune but the audience would cheer on...... to be continued
