About Last Friday (MUSON Jazz Festival)

The Girlz Rule Band, an all-female music group which I am a part of playing saxophone, was hosted by the Musical Society of Nigeria, MUSON Festival Jazz Night 2015. Several other groups and artistes including the NNB, Philip Uzo, DebbieSoul,
etc, were also on the line up for the night. It was a night of variety indeed as each group presented different styles of Jazz. I was amazed at the response we got from the guests, their cheers, smiles and encouragement. We as a group had never really felt the much satisfaction that we experienced after a performance, we almost always have one or two complaints and dissatisfaction but not this time. We left the stage feeling really good although there were some obvious misses, we started out on a good note that night and ended well.
