Deep Sigh...

Love is not a FIGHT, its something worth FIGHTING for
                                                                                        Warren Barfield

On that altar where everyone says I do,we believe the best of each other, that no matter what happens
I will be there like that song we know so well
Little we know of heart wrenching situations that plaque your minds with fears and insecurities
Doubts of if we made the right choices and if we listened well to that inward conscience
Times like these, your only companion is loneliness and the guilty feeling that its all your fault yet on the surface the picture must show your friends you've got it all together.
Reaching out is so strange that abuses reaching deep to your soul is your only friend
Once standing tall to refute everything rising above the knowledge of God, you entertain that word divorce more and more but something in you just won't give in yet.

You tell yourself love will conquer all even though she believes love isn't the most important factor of all that one needs in a home.
Faithfulness to each other becomes a new word as faithfulness is seen as something between God and man and not between them.
You give me problems she says and you're ruining my life, infact you shouldn't have married me.
Yet the songs of Solomon says it well; many waters cannot quench love neither can floods drown it but none of them seem to agree anymore
Love gone awry and forgotten, children in between but she hopes for a better life without her.
Again we need to look to the author of marriage to avoid the crack that will crumble what started so well. We need to pray the hands of the Almighty to cover our homes, to give our fragile homes the strengths it needs to sprout outta oppression
Then blossom to be that big tree with so many branches.
God help us, bless our homes and garrison our hearts with joy unspeakable.
Amen!                                                                                                            .....Joanne Aluko
